Some of these services and programs include settlement and integration, community connections, family and youth, language classes, refugee resettlement, volunteer placement, market rate housing assistance, daycare, employment, entrepreneurship, and training.
We have 8 offices spread over Brandon, Russell, Virden, and Cartwright, and over the last 20 years, we have helped over 16,000 clients in the Westman Region.

Current Opportunities
Your Responsibilities
- Establish a comprehensive program for Westman Immigrant Services, to be delivered in cohorts
- Coordinate various aspects of workshops to be delivered as part of the training that will prepare clients for employment
- Research existing programs and best practices throughout the sector and the community to determine their suitability for our program
- Coordinate a two-week workplace practicum for all students at the conclusion of the cohorts
- Keep informed of current resources, trends, changes and service gaps in the local workforce and within ethno-cultural groups
- Enter all services provided in the appropriate database. Maintain and submit statistics and reports as required
- Other duties as assigned
Criteria
- Eligibility to legally work in Canada
- Ability to provide a criminal record and adults/child abuse registry check
- Proficient in critical thinking and problem solving
- Effective time management skills

Your Responsibilities
- Working with the local employer community to promote the benefits of hiring newcomers
- Assist newcomers to become job ready through delivering of trainings
- Market and present employment opportunities to newcomer job seekers
- Representing the team at newcomer focused events and at newcomer partnership meetings
- Contribute to administrative tasks as required and provides reports as requested
- Other duties as assigned
