Westman Immigrant Services was thrilled to take part in Community Clean-Up Day and Downtown Walking Lunch Club, both held on May 28th, organized by Brandon Downtown Biz. These events brought together not only WIS staff, but volunteers, and community members for a day filled with meaningful connections and collective efforts.

Community Clean-Up Day

Our Community Clean-Up Day was a resounding success, with enthusiastic participation from both WIS staff, volunteers, and community members. Together, we worked to clean and beautify our local area, fostering a sense of pride and community spirit. The dedication and hard work displayed by everyone involved truly made a difference, and it was wonderful to see so many people come together for a common cause.

Downtown Walking Lunch Club

Simultaneously, our Downtown Walking Lunch Club provided an excellent opportunity for participants to engage in a healthy and enjoyable activity while exploring the heart of Brandon. Led by Emmy from Brandon Downtown BIZ, the walking tour offered insights into the vibrant history and culture of our downtown area. This event was not only a great way to stay active but also to build connections and enjoy a beautiful day outdoors.

Both events underscored the power of community involvement and the importance of coming together to support and improve our surroundings. We are grateful to everyone who participated and made these events a success. A special thank you to Emmy at Brandon Downtown BIZ for your organization and support.

We look forward to more opportunities to connect, engage, and make a positive impact in our community!
