Welcome to Brandon


Are you interested in attending the next Welcome to Brandon Program? It will start on December 6 from 12:30-2:30 pm for 2 weeks. Must pre-register by calling 204-727-6031 Ext. 2239. The Welcome to Brandon program is a two-week settlement information and orientation for all newcomers and permanent residents in the Westman area. Classes are 2 hours daily, Monday to Friday. The program is open to all eligible clients including those with little or no English. Language assistants are provided for some of the program. Learn English with Your Smart Phone

Are you interested in learning English with your smart phone? Register for this new class taking place on Saturdays, from 9:00 am - 11:00 am starting October 16 - December 18. Open to CLB levels 1 – 4. To register, please call 204-727-6031, Ext 2.

Make Your Own Dreamcatcher


Join us for this 2-part session for families to learn how to make their own dreamcatchers and learn more about Indigenous art. Art materials will be provided.  This workshop will be taught by Jessie Jannuska, who is a Winnipeg-based interdisciplinary visual artist with mixed Dakota, Ojibway and European ancestry. She is from Canupawakpa Dakota First Nation. Sessions will take place online on Saturday, December 4 and 11 from 10:30 am – 11:30 am. To register, please call 204-727-6031 Ext. 2233.


Mental Health


This workshop helps youth to understand that we all have mental health and, like our physical health, have to work towards mental wellness. ​ We explore the different ways that stress and trauma impact our well being, and focus on coping strategies, including stress reduction activities, to get through hard times.
